Shorne Woods Country Park is one of Kent County Council's sites. It has a visitor centre with cafe and toilets and an outside picnic area (well equipped with dog water bowls when we visited). There are several marked paths with dog 'on lead' and 'off lead' areas. There are plenty of scoop bins. Parking charges apply.
Lottie and Murphy walked with a group of Airedale Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers and a Welsh Terrier. We met lots of other dogs along the way. We walked the red route - ideal for our mixed bag of ages and fitness - dogs and people! It took us through woods, up on to a ridge and through a field with some very docile cattle (who kept their distance).
We finished off an enjoyable few hours with a picnic.
