Common land, fields, bridleways country lanes. Good views.
This is intended to be a basic route guide only so you will need to follow a map and or the GPX file. There will be opportunities for your dogs to run free (depending on how good their recall is). Some care will be needed on the commons especially if you have a dog who can not be trusted with livestock. There are a couple of roads where care will be needed for your dog's safety.
If you would like to receive by e mail a free GPX file (track converted from the trail we walked) produced by our Satmap Active 10 GPS please contact us quoting Corfe Circ. Please note this file is for personal use only and must not be further reproduced without our explicit permission. Those wishing to use the file commercially should make their intentions clear when contacting us. Please note we can not guarantee this file will work successfully on any other GPS or that the data might be corrupted in transfer but we are confident, in most cases when it is loaded into a robust GPS, it will greatly assist navigation.
From East St in Corfe take footpath on left going out of town opposite number166. Go under railway bridge and on to common (fields) keeping mostly to the left side until you reach a farm. Join track via gate to left of farm buildings then turn right. Follow bridleway through farm buildings and then on to A351. Cross straight ahead with care on to drive for caravan park. Follow drive (bridleway) through park then ahead as bridleway becomes a track and more like a footpath as it climbs.
When you reach B 3069 turn right and follow edge of road for a few hundred yards (take care) then turn right onto bridleway (Purbeck Way) almost opposite a house. Follow Pubeck Way back to Corfe including across Corfe Common (keep left over a bridge after crossing a boardwalk and more substantial bridge when you first reach common (remaining signage is good).
