Hamish visited on a chilly April 2008 day. He and his people were visiting Witley Court (English Heritage) and called in part way through the day out. The tearooms are run by the local church and its supporters. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful – we had a very interesting discussion about the church. The tea, coffee and cakes were very welcome – and Hamish was ready for a drink too. More substantial meals were available. The tea garden was lovely – but too cold during our visit. This is a really welcome addition to a trip around Witley Court and would be worth a visit even if you don’t have time to tour the house and gardens (or if on a walk etc.). The church is fantastic too – and worth a visit in its own right. We were greeted there by another very helpful and friendly church supporter. We came away with very positive thoughts of a thoroughly enjoyable visit.
