DogPeople Says : The White Cliffs Hotel

Tia the Labrador paid a short visit with her mistress and our directors in December 2011. We had been out for a winter walk (see our Walk’s directory for Kent – St Margaret’s and Cliffe circular) and had got rather wet and cold towards the end of the walk. We spent a pleasant half hour enjoying drinks in the comfortable and warm hotel bar. We also met another dog guest who was staying at the hotel with his people. We hope to return sometime and sample the food.

Key Info:
We welcome pets at The White Cliffs Hotel and have a number of bedrooms that are available to take dogs in our Mews cottages. Some are ground floor rooms with a lobby or separate lounge area which open out onto the gardens perfect for you and your dog. Well behaved dogs are generally allowed in the lounge and bar. The restaurant is probably not the best place to bring your dog (but exceptions can be made, just ask). We also expect you to put a lead on in public areas. The walled garden is freely available for dogs to exercise and the nearby paths of South Foreland and the clifftops are great for a stroll all year round but can get pretty muddy in winter, so please remember to bring towels etc. to clean and dry your dog before you come back in. We also can provide water bowls and doggie beds and loads of information on walks, local attractions and places to visit with your dog. Other pets such as cats are also welcome by prior arrangement.

Areas dogs welcome:
All areas except Restaurant.

Dogs not welcome in:

Number & type of rooms:

Other facilities:
The White Cliffs Hotel promises to be a unique experience offering a new approach to hotel accommodation in rural & village centre locations. The hotel captures the essence of life in coastal England with a contemporary atmosphere and a refreshingly independent way of thinking - an antidote to faceless global brands so prevalent today.
