Hamish visited in March 03 and found another canine visitor in residence when he arrived. He was made most welcome and found all aspects of the Lodge comfortable. The only area Hamish couldn’t stay in was the dining area but this didn’t detract from the visit in any way. The conservatory is adjacent to the dining room so his people taking breakfast in ‘shifts’ was not at all a problem as Susan served tea in the conservatory whilst the ‘first sitting’ enjoyed a good (and full) English breakfast. The grounds are very nice and there is a dog friendly ‘convenience’ walk from the end of the drive. There are good walks in the immediate area, including The Cleveland Way and a disused railway. The North Yorks Moors are a short drive away.
