In September 2013 Lottie visited the 17th century Yarn Market and ancient Gallox Bridge, Dunster both of which are managed by English Heritage and free to visit. She did a walking tour of Dunster starting from the car park nearest to the A39 visiting an old Dovecote, the Yarn Market and then Gallox Bridge. Dunster is a quaint old town with lots of interesting buildings and some cobbled pavements; Lottie was not too keen on these. By the time we got to the bridge she was ready for a short paddle and drink in the river. After this we went into the adjacent Dunster Forest and walked up Vinegar Hill where Lottie enjoyed a run off the lead. Dog friendly accommodation is available at The Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster. Lottie was staying nearby in Little Court Apartment, Porlock, Somerset which is one of the dog friendly cottages managed by The Best of Exmoor holiday business.
