DogPeople Says : Ullswater Steamers

Lottie sailed with the directors in June 2013. This was a bit of a 'day off' for us after several days of high level walks and we all enjoyed the chance to sit still and admire the views. We sailed on the Western Belle and took the Round the Lake option boarding at Glenridding, sailing to Pooley Bridge where we disembarked for several hours before the return trip. Dogs are welcome on the steamers and access to the undercover top deck was via a level gangway. Other dog friendly seating options were available on the open deck or saloon via steps, both of which Lottie managed easily. The saloon serves tea, coffee, bar drinks and snacks. Other dog guests included a collie type dog and, while waiting to return, we meet two other Airedales, George and Rufus.
