An excellent late example of a Scottish watermill. It was probably built in the 1880s. The waterwheel and most of the machinery have been retained. Now forms a reception centre for visitors to Maeshowe.

Dog Restrictions:
Dogs are permitted in the grounds if kept on a leash. They are not permitted in roofed buildings. Owners are asked to be sensitive to the effect of their dogs on others, esepcially children. Poop scoops are available from the steward at staffed sites. Please clear up after your dog.
