Close to the village of Balgray 5 miles North of Dundee off the A90. Grid reference NO 412 381. Limited parking in farmyard beside Dovecot.

Description:
An elegant dovecot of the late 16th century standing in a modern farmyard. A short walk leads to the remains of an earth house, or souterrain, of Iron Age date, a curving underground passage, now uncovered. Re-used stones with Bronze Age rock carvings can be seen in its walls.

Dog Restrictions:
Dogs are permitted in the grounds if kept on a leash. They are not permitted in roofed buildings. Owners are asked to be sensitive to the effect of their dogs on others, esepcially children. Poop scoops are available from the steward at staffed sites. Please clear up after your dog.
