About 5 miles North East of Stromness on the B9055 • HY 306 126.
The remains of a stone circle surrounded by remains of a circular earthen bank. Of all the elements of the World Heritage Site, this is probably the best understood site, along with nearby Barnhouse, in the sense that there were fairly extensive scientific excavations of its interior in 1973 to 1974.

Dogs are permitted in the grounds if kept on a leash. They are not permitted in roofed buildings. Owners are asked to be sensitive to the effect of their dogs on others, esepcially children. Poop scoops are available from the steward at staffed sites. Please clear up after your dog.
