Description:
Dirleton Castle has boasted a garden probably since its earliest days as a medieval fortified residence. Today, there is a colourful blend of traditional formal gardens and more contemporary plantings including – as the Guinness Book of Records testifies – the world’s longest herbaceous border.

Dog Restrictions:
Dogs are permitted in the grounds if kept on a leash. They are not permitted in roofed buildings. Owners are asked to be sensitive to the effect of their dogs on others, esepcially children. Poop scoops are available from the steward at staffed sites. Please clear up after your dog.
