One of the two remaining round towers of the Irish type in Scotland, built in the late 11th century with a remarkable carved doorway. Capped by a stone roof added in the 15th century. View exterior of the tower, but the adjacent church houses a magnificent collection of carved stones.
Visit Historic Scotland's website for details.
Dogs are permitted in the grounds if kept on a leash. They are not permitted in roofed buildings. Owners are asked to be sensitive to the effect of their dogs on others, esepcially children. Poop scoops are available from the steward at staffed sites. Please clear up after your dog.
