Murphy visited The Rock Lodge in Oxford Street, Whitstable on a wet January 2018 evening. His people took advantage of a two for one burger deal and he was treated too. We partook of some beer and gin (with tonic) and Murphy was presented with a fresh bowl of water as soon as we sat down. We enjoyed our huge meaty burgers with hand cut chips and coleslaw – at a very reasonable price with the two for one offer. Murphy ate from the dogs’ menu free! We chose the chicken and gravy option for him. It was served in his own bowl placed on a pet mat. We were pleased and so was he. We finished with The Rock Lodge’s cheese board. A fine selection of Kentish cheeses was complimented by grapes and apple (great for clearing the pallet between cheeses), dried apricots and celery, walnuts and a selection of biscuits. We were delighted.
