Our dog friendly walks and beaches section includes lots of information from district councils on their approach to dogs on beaches. Our South East England area covers Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex (Surrey and Greater London too – but no beach information).
Our research has enabled us to add information in Kent for: Dover, Deal, Walmer, St Margaret’s Bay, Kingsdown and Sandwich (click here); Folkestone, Hythe, Dymchurch, Greatstone, St Mary’s Bay, New Romney and Dungeness (click here) and; Margate, Birchington, Cliftonville, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Westgate and Westbrook beach (click here). Whitstable and Herne Bay beaches has been available for visitors with dogs for some time (click here).
In East Sussex we’ve added Bexhill and Camber beaches (click here) and Hastings Beach (click here). Information was already available for dog owning holiday makers and visitors at Brighton and Hove (click here) and Eastbourne and Seaford (click here).
West Sussex completes our additions for South East England. We have added: Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Felpham (click here); East Wittering, Selsey and Bracklesham Beaches (click here) and; Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham and Kingston (click here).
As well as helping residents and visitors understand seasonal dog bans and other restrictions – and highlighting beaches that are dog friendly all year – some of the council links provide more information about their local area and policies.
