  1. Dog friendly holidays in Devon at Three Ocean Reach

A great new dog friendly holiday home has been added to our Devon Self Catering Holidays directory. Three Ocean Reach is literally brand new and offers luxury accommodation for 4 people, an enclosed garden and stunning coastal views from the bedrooms and balconies. Facilities provided include underfloor heating on the ground floor, central heating on the first floor, ipod dock and WiFi. The South West Coast Path is less than 100 yards away and Soar Mill Cove and Hope Cove are within easy walking distance. The on-site Oceans Restaurant and bar can also deliver meals to your door at Ocean Reach. There is also outside seating available at the restaurant.

Some of our previous site visitors may remember the dog friendly Port Light Hotel at Salcombe on the South Devon coast. Information on the Ocean Reach website explains the history of the site and here is a snippet:

‘Ocean Reach’ has been developed on the site previously known as ‘Port Light’, which Sean and Hazel Hassall have owned since 1991. They are passionate about the site on Bolberry Down and have created Ocean Reach which has been designed and built to the highest industry standards in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

They have now realised their vision of creating quality holiday properties and a new, improved restaurant on this special site.’

Agatha Christie fans will appreciate the view over Burgh Island where she wrote two books And Then There Were None and Evil Under The Sun (the island was also used on the set of a 2002 TV adaption). An episode of Lovejoy was also set and filmed on the island in 1994. Burgh Island can be reached from Bigbury on Sea by foot or sea tractor, depending on the tides.
