  1. Airedale Terrier walk in Kent on Sunday 5th July at 11am

Our friend Kim is organising another Airedale walk on Sunday 5th July at Shorne Woods Country Park, Kent. The Country Park is easy to get to by car as it is close to the A2/M2. Kim has been arranging these walks on an informal basis for over 12 years now and there are usually a mixture of Airedales and Wire Fox Terriers walking plus a few other 4 legged friends.  There’s no cost apart from the parking, it’s a social event really walking at a slow to moderate pace, some dogs go off lead for part of the walk, some stay on lead.  If your dog is young or old and can’t manage the whole walk (around 2/3 miles) then there are usually options to take a short cut. We usually take a picnic to have afterwards but there is also a cafe. If anyone would like to go you can just turn up on the day. I will be going along with Lottie and maybe Murphy Airedale as well. Hope to see some of you there if you can make it. Jo

Here is Kim’s email message ‘Dear All, The next walk will be on SUNDAY 5th JULY 2015 at SHORNE WOODS COUNTRY PARK, BREWERS ROAD, SHORNE DA12 3HX. We will meet as usual by the Visitor Centre at 11am. Look forward to seeing you all and fingers crossed for fine weather. Kim’

See our Days Out or Walks & Beaches Directories for ideas for other dog friendly places to visit in Kent and the South East.

If you’re not a local check out our dog friendly guesthouse directory or, if you can manage a longer holiday maybe a self catering holiday cottage would be best for you and your pet. Of course you could also choose a dog friendly hotel or holiday park.
