  1. December at Batsford (Gloucestershire)

Just because winter is showing the first signs of arriving and Christmas is just around the corner there’s no need to stay indoors.  The dogs will still love opportunity for  a day out and you’ll enjoy the outdoors too.  One of our dog friendly days out advertisers Batsford Arboretum has sent us the following information to tempt you to call in in December:

There’s free entry to the Arboretum for individual RHS members throughout December – Happy Christmas from us all!

Boxing Day at Batsford. Friday 26th December. 10am – 3pm.

Get out and about and shake off the excesses of Christmas Day with a bracing walk around beautiful Batsford Arboretum. We’re open between 10 and 3pm and there’s a free mug of mulled wine for each customer (while stocks last!).

    Saturday 27th December onwards

We’re open throughout the period between Christmas and New Year – including New Year’s Eve and Day so why not enjoy a bracing festive walk around our beautiful arboretum. You might even find some early snowdrops or aconites beginning to appear!

Why not fit in a dog friendly pub meal with your day out?   And if you want to stay a little longer why not pick a Cotswolds cottage holiday with your dog?
