  1. Circular walk from The Bowl Inn on The North Downs

Murphy and Lottie enjoyed a walk from The Bowl Inn above Charing on Kent’s North Downs at the weekend.  The easy 4 mile or so route used country lanes, byways, bridleways and sections of woodland.  Both dogs had a great time running off in the first section of wood.  Sadly this route does include one ‘dog unfriendly’ stile so won’t be suitable for large or unagile dogs.

The route includes a couple of points of historical interest.  We researched these a little and our walking guide includes footnotes with our findings – more information is available for those who would like to know … but some of the details may be a little gruesome for all our readers.

We have already added a ‘DogPeople Says’ link to The Bowl’s directory entry (see previous news item).  We will be back to test walk another route that avoids the stile – and maybe another dog friendly route or two too.
