  1. August at Batsford Arboretum

Batsford Arboretum, Moreton-in-Marsh , Gloucestershire, in our attractions directory,  a place to visit on holiday or day out with your dog, have told us:

August is the perfect time to rest awhile below the cool tree canopy and enjoy the beautiful views across the Evenlode Valley and beyond.  Marvel at the natural grace of our Giant Redwoods, Weeping Beech and the Cathedral Lime.

Make the most of your individual RHS membership by visiting the Arboretum in August when you’re entitled to free entry.

    The Big Batsford Bug Hunt.
Throughout August 10am to 5pm.  £1.50 per child + arboretum entrance fee.
Get out and about and find the creepy crawlies hidden around our beautiful Arboretum!  They’re hard to find but worth the hunt.  Discover 8 of the 10 bugs we’ve hidden, mark their location on our map using stickers provided and pick up a goodie bag!   Children must be accompanied by an adult for whom the normal arboretum entrance fee applies.
