  1. Boot Inn, Western Lake District Joins

We are delighted to welcome Boot Inn, in Eskdale in The Western Lake District (Cumbria) as a new dog friendly pub and place to eat.  Lottie stopped for Sunday roast on a recent very wet walk.  The food was just what we needed (one chicken and one beef – Lottie happy with treats from either!) and there was a good range of real ales.  Lots of walking options – wet dogs and muddy boots welcome!

The Boot Inn is in the hamlet of Boot deep in the Eskdale Valley. Walks to The English Lake District’s largest and most majestic fells can start at the doorstep for fit walkers and their dogs.  The coast is just 7 miles away for those seeking an different day out. The inn has been catering for hungry and thirsty travellers since the 17th century (the Hardknott Pass is just up the road), offering a selection of traditionally kept ales, fine wines, sprits, continental beers, soft drinks and excellent food. Everybody is welcome included our four legged friends.  With real log fires for those chilly autumn, winter or even summer days, a warm welcome is always guaranteed.
