  1. The Cary Arms, Babbacombe Beach near Torquay joins

Dogpeople Limited are delighted to welcome The Cary Arms, Babbacombe Beach near Torquay in South Devon as a new dog friendly pubs and places to eat advertiser.  This gastro pub offers locally sourced food with sea food specials.

It is located right next to the coastal path – so is a great place to stop on a dog walk – in a spot described, apparently, by Queen Victoria in 1846 as:

“It’s a beautiful spot…red cliffs and rocks with wooded hills like Italy and reminding one of a ballet or play where nymphs appear – such rocks and grottoes, with the deepest sea on which there was no ripple.”

More from this dog friendly pub’s directory entry:

“Dry out soggy dogs in front of the wood burner in the bar. Stay the night in one of our two boutique bedrooms which are dog friendly and have stunning sea views and a terrace. Four cottages also welcome dog owners. Fresh water and dog treats available – dedicated blackboard with the Dog Bowl Special of the Day, Chicken and Rice. Public and resident’s parking available.”
