  1. General Havelock Inn, Haydon Bridge joins

Dogpeople Limited are delighted to welcome General Havelock Inn, Haydon Bridge near Hexham in Northumberland as a new dog friendly place to eat.  Hamish visited and his people had an excellent meal during a recent trip to the north of England (including several dog friendly visits to Hadrian’s Wall sites).  The inn has a restaurant area where only guide dogs are welcome but the full range of meals can be enjoyed in the company of your dog in the bar area.  Real ale fans will find a local guest beer and there’s a full range of other drinks too.  At the back of the inn there’s a riverside terrace and, beyond that, a short riverside walk (Hamish took this route several times for his all important comfort breaks before going inside – bins in the village).
