24/08/2010 - Pet Friendly hotels in Normandy, France added
An initial selection of hotels in Normandy, France where pets will be welcome have been added to our dog friendly directory.  Click here to see the directory page.  Use web hyperlinks in each directory entry to find out more about the hotels - and to access a link to information from Brittany Ferries on PETS (pet travel scheme).  Hopefully you'll find all the information you need to plan a successful trip with the dogs.
19/08/2010 - Hotels in Burgundy, Ile De France & Paris, Limousin and Brittany added
More hotels where pets will be welcome have been added to our directory for France.  These pet friendly hotels are in Burgundy, Ile De France & Paris, Limousin and more in Brittany.  See details on the directory pages and via the hyperlinks to Brittany Ferries' website (where you can also find out about PETS and book your dog on a ferry).
19/08/2010 - Connor stays at The Oak, Baginton near Coventry
Connor, possibly the second best Airedale in the world, recently stayed at The Oak, Baginton near Coventry (in our Warwickshire directories).  He and his people enjoyed their stay and were delighted to find how dog friendly The Oak is (and to meet the house dogs) - click here to see his Dogpeople Says report and look at their places to eat and B&B directory entries. The Oak is situated within easy reach of a surprising number of motorways, yet has good convenience dog walks on hand, so makes a great location for breaking long journeys whether for an overnight stop or just a meal break.
16/08/2010 - Your dogs will be barking mad if you miss this opportunity
One of our Top Dog rated self catering holiday homes in Cornwall, Honey Hedge Cottage at Lamorna near Penzance, has late availability for two weeks in September.  Both weeks are now reduced – with up to two dogs welcome.  The week 17th of Sept is reduced from £750 to £495 and 24th Sept was £650 to £495.  There’s no charge up to two dogs.  Billed as ‘dog heaven’ Honey Hedge Cottage certainly has a lot of dog relevant holiday services (click here to see their Top Dog list).
16/08/2010 - The Traddock, Austwick near Settle in the news
One of our dog friendly hotels in Yorkshire, The Traddock, Austwick near Settle has been reviewed by The Sunday Telegraph - click on the link to see the full report.
15/08/2010 - Another walk from Boughton under Blean in Kent
Another walk based on The Queen's Head in Boughton under Blean (between Faversham and Canterbury in Kent) has been added to our Walks Directory.  This route is about 8 miles (with about 700 feet of total ascent) over a mix on quiet lanes, footpaths and woods.  The ascent is all easy.  Sadly there are two stiles on the route, one with a gap big enough for a medium sized dog and the other with no gap at all.  This means larger or less agile dogs will need to be lifted - probably twice - so have a look at the walking instructions (printer friendly version) before setting off.  A GPX file version of the route is available.
13/08/2010 - E mail server problem
We are currently suffering from a problem affecting the e mail server we use.  This means some of our outward mail is being delayed and we may not have received all mail sent to us.  We apologise if any of you haven't received the service we aspire to.  Please call us on 01227 770701 if you think we might not have received a message from you, if you haven't received a reply, or we might help in some other way.
